1. What is the Avalon Scheduling™ and Referral System?
Avalon is a
web
appointment
scheduling system, online calendar and referral system, using
software in the ASP model, which is
connected via the Internet to a specialized
team of receptionists and other trusted
referral sources. Patients or customers
can even use the software to
self-schedule their own appointments any
time of the day or night.
2. Can I see a demonstration of the
system?
Yes.

a detailed presentation about how to
schedule your own appointment
for Avalon Scheduling
used by a
behavioral health care
referral organization.
3. Will I need to download anything
on to my computer? What is the ASP
model?
The
Avalon Scheduler is “web-based” software, meaning
that all you need to access it – any
time, any place - is an Internet
connection, a user name, and a password.
As opposed to traditional software, such
as that purchased on disc or by download, the purchaser does
not have to bear the costs of software
updates, web hosting, or support.
4. Does anything else come with the
program? And is set-up a daunting
prospect?
The system automatically generates an
email notice whenever a new appointment
is scheduled. Our administrative service
follows up with a manually generated
email notice and a phone
call. Additional clerical services like
this are available, tailored to the
needs of the group practice or
organization. Dr. Thomas Giles, our
owner, will provide consultation to set
up and utilize the software most
effectively. This web
appointment scheduling system has been
designed to be very simple to utilize
and learn.
5. Can the online Calendar be used for
other purposes?
Yes. It can be used for most other
scheduling needs at no additional cost.
The Calendar securely tracks client,
scheduling, and other information, all
of which can be tailored to the needs of
the customer.
6. Do you have software training and
tech support available?
Yes. This is also provided as part of
the package via a toll free number
and/or email. As indicated, the system
has been designed for simplicity and
stability and requires minimal training.
7. How much does the system cost?
Pricing is tailored to
each situation and reflective of such
factors as the number of users and
whether or not our specialized
receptionist service is included. Please
contact our owner, Dr. Thomas R. Giles,
for pricing and other relevant
information: 1-877-328-8290 or
info@westsidebehavioral.com.
8. Do I need full-time phone support to
utilize this product?
Not necessarily. The self-scheduling
software is fully automated. We also
have an excellent and highly
cost-effective solution in the event
that full-time phone support isn’t
already sufficiently available to you.
9. Is this software product brand new?
No. It has been in service for 9 years
with hundreds of mental health
clinicians in the metro Denver, Colorado
area. The software is updated
continually to maximize its stability
and functionality.
10. I see on the Westside website,
www.westsidebehavioral.com, that
there is a way for patients to schedule
intake appointments themselves 24/7
using a variation of the Avalon
software. Will the self-scheduling
function be made available to me as part
of the package?
Yes, absolutely.
11. Will Avalon synchronize with software applications such as those for billing, email, other calendars?
If the other software application has the ability to synchronize, Avalon will usually be able to work with it.
12. Does Avalon pay a commission to organizations, sales reps, or lead generators?
Yes. Please see the Commissions and Sales and Leads page.
13. Who do I contact for further information?
Please contact our owner, Dr. Thomas R. Giles, for pricing and other relevant information: 1-877-328-8290 or info@westsidebehavioral.com.
